§ 32.02. Appointments.

(A)

The members of the Planning Commission shall be appointed by the Council by a majority vote of the full membership thereof. Appointments to the offices, the terms of which expire in a given year, shall be made by the Council at the first regular meeting on or after February 1 in such year.

(B)

All appointments, including those to fill vacancies, shall be made from nominations filed in writing, no later than 15 days prior to selection, with the Town Clerk by any citizen on his/her own behalf, or by another citizen, stating the qualifications and reasons for the appointment of the nominee. The Council may make additional nominations and shall review all statements of qualification before selection and appointment.

(C)

The Town Clerk shall circulate the statements of the qualifications of the nominees to all members of the Council prior to such appointments to office.
