§ 35.01. Transfer of duties to County; retention of duties of Town Treasurer.

(A)

Pursuant to the provisions of Cal. Gov't Code §§ 51500 through 51521, the Council hereby transfers the assessment and tax collection duties performed by the Town Assessor and Tax Collector to the Assessor and Tax Collector of the County.

(B)

The duties of the Town Treasurer are hereby reserved to him/her and are not included in the transfer provided for in division (A) above. The Town Treasurer shall, upon payment to him/her by the Controller of the County of sums due the Town, keep and disburse such sums in the existing customary practice and procedure of the Town.
